About the event

Lenten Liberation from Attachment to Food is an invitation to rediscover the heart of fasting as the Church intends it, not as deprivation or willpower, but as freedom. In a culture that often ties food to comfort, control, and identity, Lent offers a sacred opportunity to gently loosen those attachments and reorder our desires toward God.

This reflection will explore how cravings can become a teacher rather than a threat, guiding us toward deeper prayer, trust, and interior peace. Rooted in faith, this conversation offers an approach that removes sugar while still respecting the body to food detachment, that avoids shame and extremes, helping participants experience Lent as a season of clarity, simplicity, and true spiritual and physical renewal. We are soul and body, and God works to renew us and transform us in both forms, in His wisdom, He is able to use this season of fasting for our good…
