Runny nose, bloated stomach, itchy eye, skin rashes are all symptoms of an allergic response. Did you know, fatigue, pain in your joints, or just feeling lousy can also be responses to allergens in your environment or from food you are eating.
Testing for food allergies is a positive first step to better health. With avoidance, you give your body time to begin the healing process.

Our approach to autoimmunity is not through immunosuppressant drugs. Instead we do testing that allows for the identification of triggers associated with the autoimmune process. By eliminating the triggers, the body can build upon a strong foundation. We test. We don’t guess.

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that often reflects internal imbalances rather than a surface-level skin issue. From a Wellness Way perspective, acne is commonly connected to inflammation, hormone imbalance, gut dysfunction, food sensitivities, or detoxification challenges. Instead of masking symptoms with topical treatments, we focus on identifying and addressing the root causes through personalized testing, nutrition, and lifestyle support.

Digestive issues go by many different names.
-
Reflux
-
Irritable Bowel
-
Constipation
-
Crohn’s
-
Ulcerative Colitis
-
Bloating
-
Indigestion
While managing symptoms is the often the first method of management, finding the root cause of the issue is a better question to solve. At The Wellness Way, we test instead of guess.
Digestive Issues

In our world of work, children, and stress sometimes is easy to accept being tired or having low energy as something that is normal. However, there likely is an underlying cause for why. Instead of grabbing another cup of coffee, it may be time to find out why you are experiencing these symptoms.
Being tired is common, BUT NOT NORMAL!
Root causes may include:
-
Hormone Imbalances
-
Anemia
-
Vitamin or Mineral Deficiencies
-
Hydration Levels
-
Exercising Too Much
-
Exercising Too Little
-
Medications
-
The Wellness Way Approach works to uncover the sometimes hidden variables affecting one’s ability to restore and maintain normal energy levels.
Fatigue

Often coming without warning signs, heart disease continues to be the “silent killer” and leading cause of death in the US. High blood pressure medication is commonly prescribed to manage symptoms, but what is truly behind the cause is not often discovered.
The Wellness Way approach digs deeper into advanced blood work that looks into the details of cholesterol, blood sugar, and the function of major organs that play a role in blood pressure regulation.

Diabetes is a metabolic condition marked by blood sugar dysregulation and impaired insulin function. From a Wellness Way perspective, diabetes is not just a blood sugar issue but is often driven by chronic inflammation, hormone imbalance, gut dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, and cellular stress. Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, we work to identify and address the root causes through personalized testing, nutrition, and lifestyle support.

Hormones affect both men and women in many ways. As one of the most common health concerns, hormones are not always easy to understand let alone balance. Common hormone imbalances can result in:
-
Infertility
-
Weight Loss Difficulty
-
PCOS
-
Endometriosis
-
Lack of Energy
-
Sleep Struggles
-
Painful Cycles
-
Low Libido
Treatment for these conditions often include birth control, hysterectomies, ablations, hormone replacement therapy and more. For both men and women, these don’t have to be acceptable solutions.
In order to have a chance to correct hormone issues, proper and complete testing is a necessity. With a full understanding of how the body works and where the hormone levels are a plan can be established to move toward better health.

Did you know the food you eat and inflammation can affect your pain levels? Subluxation of the spine is another. Pain has a root cause.
Some ways to positively affect pain include:
-
Chiropractic Adjustments
-
Improved Nutrition
-
Reduction of Inflammation
-
Awareness of Food Allergies
Joint and Muscle Pain

Thyroid
Thyroid concerns offer a unique challenge for both patients and doctors alike. There are many symptoms associated with thyroid issues, including fatigue, weight gain, inability to control body temperature, thinning hair, and brain fog, just to name a few. Terms such as hypothyroid, hyperthyroid, and Hashimoto’s get thrown around without fully understanding what they mean or what they are caused by. Medical testing is incomplete at best by looking merely at TSH or even T4 and medications are often prescribed while ignoring the only contraindication, uncorrected adrenal insufficiency.
The Wellness Way Approach and a complete thyroid test is required to have the most complete understanding of the thyroid and the ability to restore normal function.

Weight Loss
There is no short cut to weight loss but there are plenty of roadblocks. Instead of frustration, rollercoasters and plateaus, look in a different direction. Even if something worked before it doesn’t mean it will work again. When you measure how the body is working, you will know what is getting in the way. Work hard, but work smarter and work specifically.
Hormones, liver function, individualized nutrition, and gut health are all important to achieve the best results. Some individuals may need more attention in certain areas that others, but with The Wellness Way Approach your body has the best chance as lasting results. Work hard, but work smarter and specifically for best results.
